Shelter Volunteers Cry Tears of Joy as Adorable Orange Cat, Who Stayed in the Shelter for Nearly 10 Years, Gets Adopted and Finally Goes to His Furrever Home

Happy Friday, fellow feline aficionados! We post a lot of wholesome stories about cats getting adopted, but none quite like this one. Cats go into shelters for all sorts of various reasons, maybe their previous owners left them behind, maybe they were taken in off the streets, or in this case, they just couldn't find someone to pick them to live in their furrever home. This absolutely adorable orange cat, "Carrot", was in an accident when he was only six months old, leaving him partially paralyzed.

Carrot stayed in the shelter for nine and a half years. Nine and a half! That's a long time to spend in an animal shelter. But one day, Carrot's furrever family came along, chose him, learned to deal with his special needs, and now they're all living happily ever after.     Carrot is so adorable! Please don't overlook senior cats when you are looking to adopt a new feline friend. They are so loving, so cute, and they deserve just as much love as any kitten!

    How could you see this picture and not immediately want to take him home? All cats deserve love, especially carrot. Each pet comes with their own unique challenges, so you might as well have one that you think is really cute!

    asleepattheworld - 10 hr. ago Those new owners are saints! I had a lovely lady void who I had to express for a few weeks towards the end of her life. It really wasn't easy, no one enjoyed it, especially not my cat! Of course I did this for her, no complaints, as she was my bff for years. But taking on a brand new kitty with this issue, that's some big love from those people. I'm so glad for Carrot, he looks like a lovely boy.
